smooth experience
Installed a light for Kirby's building corner. I thought it'll be enough to provide that part of the room with »shadow free« lighting, in the end i miscalculated the dimensions and need a few more meters of LED strip. It also gave me an idea for a »hidden« reading light we could put into the bedframe.
Kirby and the Wife came home later than planned, so i did not do much else than read a few pages to him, and afterwards stayed with him until he fell asleep.
Read a neat story with Gustav Gans—Gladstone Gander—in one of Kirby's Lustiges Taschenbuch. The title is Der Himmel von Hofwiesen—I cieli di Farmtown is the original title. It doesn't make Gustav more like able—for me at least, even when you get told, that his luck keeps Duckburg save—, it broadens his character, which is better than trying to get the reader on his side. There was this weird Mickey Mouse story, in which he and the Phantom Blot1 and Mickey change places; which sees Mickey in jail. Albtraum auf der Koralleninsel in German, Topolino e l'incubo dell'isola di corallo in the original.
Started reading The Luminous Fairies and Mothra, which is the novella on which the first Mothra movie is based on. Nothing exceptional, so far i can't recommend one over the other; except if you're a big Tokusatsu fan, then i'd say watch the movie.
GVG took a look at the official Cool Boarders Emulation for Switch2 and Playstation 52, and it was nice to see the results, after hearing everybody and their Grandma take a dump on the Switch2. It's not such a bad console; and frankly, the PS5 still asks if the player prefers a smooth experience or high-end graphics…
Bought the New Eternia figure of Trap Jaw. Since i heard his origin story from the german radioplays3—he rescued a kid from Skeletor, and in the process lost his arm and jaw; Skeletor replaces the limbs and erases part of his brain to make him his henchman—i like him. He scared me when i was a kid.
