superior format
i'm Gen »lived to see Betamax and HD-DVD die, and try to keep their memory alive, by including their superiority over VHS and Blu-Ray in every conversation i have«
We went to a concert with Kirby, which he wanted to leave after half an hour due to watching a show felt like a more enjoyable thing to do at that moment. It also could have been the onslaught of stimuli that happened in the time frame we spent at the venue, i suspect he's wired in a similar way to me in this regard; he won't say anything about it though. Perhaps he lacks the means to articulate being overwhelmed.
We played Santorini1, and after being suspicious about it in the beginning, he enjoyed the chaos that could happen in it, and caused a commotion here and there.
Started writing the text for a Zine … not sure if i should publish it, and in which format. The topic isn't easy to talk about, i want to get my thoughts on it in order through writing them down. And i don't want to do another lame photography zine. And i'm vain enough I'd like to have something in the open exhibition at Fanzineist Vienna2.
Tried the Pragmata Demo. It's sad that it seems it won't be the backdoor reboot of Mega Man that i watched a video essay about, and i see why people generally seem to like it, yet, the hacking mini game broke my brain. It's well implemented—you get a small grid in the right upper corner of the screen, in which you »hack« your way through the software of an enemy, by making a connection between two nodes, which has to lead through another number of nodes to work—, and perhaps all it needs is a few hours to get used to it, but avoiding taking damage in the already cramped environments while playing a version of snake made me stand up without noticing more than i'm comfortable with. And for running on a 'roided up calculator, it looks and plays ok. I'm starting to share the sentiment of my fellow elder people »Young people don't know they're alive.«
Now i'm looking forward to playing Indiana Jones and The Great Circle on Switch2.
