Dispatches from Asteroid Hopkins

night and day

Unbeknownst to me, the Wife and Kirby conspired aginst … doing the right thing, and bought a Lego Castle—from their Creator 3-in-1 line of sets—alongside a box of interlocking toy bricks and base plates. So they spent yesterday afternoon partly building a castle and colorful contraptions without telling me…
Kirby and i spent the morning with building a few more parts of the castle; we took our sweet time due to play testing every big part we finished—also, it take my sweet time due to OCD, the Lego logo has to look in a certain direction, and in some instances i have to negotiate which direction they can face, when it's not possible to join the others in facing a certain direction.
Kirby bet, that he'll manage to finish building the castle. As collateral we settled on a bag of Gummy bears; which he won, even though he had a fierce battle with the Skeleton King, who ended up in the dungeon, covered in horse apples.

Work took far longer than i anticipated; i was still there past midnight. Tonight's show was surprisingly good, we even got a thumbs up from an audience member—we didn't tell him, that we only provided one extension cable and kept the venue in shape.

Started to watch a South Korean show called Miss Night and Day, and it must have been due to being locked in a director's booth with one of the chewiest eaters i know: i liked it.
