Started reading the book about David Bowie and Brian Eno's visit at Gugging, a psychiatric institution that included art and poetry into itss treatment of patients, from which a few successful art careers were launched. The author wasn't present at the meeting, which makes this book kind of clickbait, yet, it's a great opener to get people interested in the topic, and shows that creative endeavors aren't and shouldn't be reserved for certain people. Nowadays there is the Art brut center is in the old building and patients are still able to use an atelier. Having only one facility that openly provides this way of treatment feels … wrong.
