where's your shame?
My trusty EDC "bag" betrayed me! The stitching of the loop with which it was attached to my belt got torn apart, and i had to reassign the old bag to its former post—it hosted my mobile toolkit since the arrival of it's replacement. Getting a new bag has been a nightmare. I'd like to just get the same bag again, despite it not delivering on the promise of being "bulletproof"—perhaps the thread used is able to stop a bullet, it certainly isn't "scrapeproof"—, more important to me is keeping the Status Q intact as much as possible. Having to adjust to new zippers, weight, smell, internal organisation is troubling. The Wife bought me a box of tea when she saw my supply was low, now i have to find an excuse to get rid of it due to it coming from another manufacturer, smelling wrong already, the cardboard of the box alone does not instil a sense of confidence in me; as long as "my" tea is available, i'm only drinking that. It was the same with the toothbrush last week—thankfully the company just changed the design of the power button, for the better, and kept the design of the brush pieces, of which i bought a two year supply recently.
Back to the bag: I found one that seemed ok, but i wasn't able to source it from any local vendor, therefore ordered it online, and got the wrong one delivered … the search goes on … ch ch changes…
Yes, i'm experiencing shame for ranting about having to carry my keys in a different container while other people in the world wish that this would be their greatest source of trouble.
