turning porous

Kirby made a beanie for himself. He looked so proud when he showed me. The Wife texted me, asking if i'd pretend to not believe it was made by Kirby. I ran out of ideas after asking, if the beanie was stolen.

Work had a weird rhythm to it. I learned that we still have those old lit make-up mirrors, that were already ancient when i started. In between they got a small make over, yet the lamps used in them are cumbersome to change, due to the sockets being glued to the inside of the glass, with the glue having turned porous over the years, it is a balancing act to apply enough pressure to move the sockets spring while not breaking it. The plastic of the sockets looks surprisingly good for being that old, staying in a closed, hot environment, and being almost entirely encased with a bonding agent. I managed to built one working mirror out of three, if we find a few new lamps tomorrow, there'll be two working ones.

In my sampling of asian TV shows i discovered Miss Night and Day, which is one of those things that sound like the dream a lunatic might have. In essence, it's about an out of luck 20something in South Korea, who turns into a 50something at sunrise, returning to her actual age at sunset. She gets tangled up with a prosecutor, who is investigating a serial killer; and a few sub plots of course. You can probably guess the depth of that well, but the tonal shifts in every episode baffle me; it's not good, and not a bore, a solid sit in the time it takes me to fall asleep.
