the good stuff
Had a talk with a fellow parent, which already sent me on edge. She was concerned about her kid having allergies, has it checked out three to four times a year--i forgot to ask if they do the prick test on the kid every time.
I noticed her … vaping device and asked, if she uses it at home, which she does. Afterwards i made two mistakes:
- »Why do you introduce probably damaging things into the air at home, when you're scared of your kid developing allergies?«
»It's all natural.« - »Oh, like energized heroin doesn't get you addicted?«
She got my point, while pointing out my insensitive manner. She's stressed about the training sessions of her kid and the divorce and being a single Mother. Her former Husband is supportive and goes above and beyond for them, which makes her feel … less than acceptable.
I asked for forgiveness. Her kid likes me, and i'm sure i find something to like about it--Kirby told me it's a good friend, but a troubeseeker--, so i told her he can hang out with us when she needs some air or would have to take him with her to work.
