territory
The Wife bought a new electric toothbrush, on a recommendation from her dentist. If that thing won't get her teeth clean, nothing can. The brush head on that thing must be able to polish metal with the right cleaning agent. I'd be afraid it'll grind my teeth off with every usage.
Kirby and i spent the morning reading Ariol1 comics. Those are great, i missed reading them. Also read the last of the Margo Malloo stories, before the Wife and Kirby returned them in the afternoon.
He helped with taking the waste to the bins. His Mario Kart skills have vastly improved as well; have to race him these days instead of hulking out with the crap Lego DC Villians throws at me…
We're currently also really into Lego dioramas. I'm envious at people who are able to translate their design into an actual thing.2
Had a verbal fight with my Boss … he's always droning on about the young people focusing to much on their work life balance, as he did today, during wich i mentioned his 15 free weekends in the current season while everyone else had between two and four. As our department head, he has the opportunity to do so of course, yet, he always emphasizes the point of him being a hands on person and not a tie rack that spends his days in an office. He asked what i meant with that, i told him not to talk about the free time other people would like to have, when he's the one enjoying it on a regular basis, instead of evenly spreading the load on all of our shoulders. Well, he's already spreading a load on us, but more like a Hippo marking it's territory…3
I stayed for the disassembly, so i could get away from him. I sincerely hope, i can maintain an open mind past my 50s.
My body acted up again, and i'm not sure what is wrong anymore, and where i should ask for help. Is it all in my head, or is it organic?
Also, i'm pissed at Pro Bono, which i currently watch in my ongoing «asian TV beyond tokusatsu» binge. It's a court procedural which in two episodes had a disabled kid asking for legal counsel on the question of can you sue god for being born, spiraling out into a case against the hospital preventing the mother from having an abortion, due to it being run by a pro-life organization. In between the constitution gets second guessed—due to it stating that all life is to be cherished and protected, while in reality, that protection ends after a kid being born. Of course, the whole thing never comes to a conclusion on anything other than child and mother sobbing and hugging at the end, and 90% of people seem fine with it, i just want the whole «i'm screwed in this society, i want to scream at the world» acted out to some end…
And here are two photos from recent days:
The annual shot of Space Ghost on the holiday tree. This year, Kirby put him up.
Chromies. Recently found them in a box of unsorted figures, and could not leave them behind…
