Work was a drag … our acquisition department and the local producer booked the wrong venue for what the show needed, so a lot of improvisation was needed. A new co-worker excelled at it, putting his health on the line with riding an angle grinder until the cutting wheel had only a centimeter in diameter left. I brought him protective glasses, because he insisted of doing it all without a vice.
This year, i participated in the yearly heatlh check up, and while the known problems haven't become better or worse, a new building site has been declared: my lower hips. My posture is way off, and i need to strengthen the area. You're not carrying your kid anymore, do you? the Doctor asked playfully, and gave me a surprised, yet stern look when i answered, that i still do when Kirby needs it.
On the way home i came by a sale for rain gear, and grabbed a poncho. If that is a viable alternative for my old jacket? it served me well for the last couple of years, but during my latest walk through the rain i found out, that patches of the material won't repel as much water as was provided.
Finished the fourth trade in Chip Zdarsky's Batman run. That story doesn't known what a pause is, it's just keeps going—like Batman. I can see why it's not universally beloved, it feels like a very long placeholder. Still, i've read worse.
