Kirby and i looked into the rabbit hole, that is Lego's TMNT Sets1. That turtles shaped submarine caught our interest.
For our cardboard Turtle home, we drew a few holiday pictures, which we printed smaller, and glued to frames cut out of foam rubber.
Finally came around to reading the latest volume of Ariol. Kirby isn't that smitten with it anymore, i still dig the stories of all those anthropomorphised animals, what i don't like is, that they haven't progressed any of the stories for the last three volumes. The books follow the life of Ariol, a donkey foal, who's just trying to get through his days with as much delight as possible. The stories are relatable, and don't shy away from showing problems in society and families. Stumbled upon a volume when Kirby was a few days old, when i started looking for things i could read to him and later with him. For a while, we almost read nothing else—to the dismay of the Wife.
