nearly fitting
I only took the warnings about the coming heavy snowfall serious, after i woke up to a world in which it happened. Kirby was excited about being the first human being to leave a mark on the fresh coat of snow. Clad in the -- only nearly fitting -- winter gear we bought for a visit to the Wife's northern branch of the family tree, he walked all the way to school, while throwing the odd snowball and retreading his footsteps. In the afternoon he hoped to relive the joy, which sadly wasn't possible, due to the city's late reaction; large areas of the path were cleared, and the masses of snow that lined them, were seasoned with litter and bodily fluids. In one instance, a puddle of what hopefully was urin, shimmered in a shade of neon yellow/green, that made it look like radioactive material in comics or animation.
I was scared about the whole snow thawing, and freezing overnight, we already had a bus blocking the street for an hour due to the snow, having something similar happen on a surface that provides less friction only, and the »pillows« of snow on the side of the street having turned into ice blocks might cause more damage with a similar vehicle. It was less slippery than i assumed it could be; on the way to work today, there was this one person, who got off the tram, and let gravity pull itself away on the slanted sidewalk by inertia.
I finished reading A.X.E.: Judgment Day, and am disappointed and thrilled at the same time. The actual premise of the story and all the small stories that happen within it i like, the editorial need to return to a status that can be ignored for the years to come, i don't like. And i'm annoyed by the X-Men at the moment.
The trailer for Toy Story 51 surprised me; it's better than expected. At this point, it would be interesting to see the toy's take, on how adults are using them to relive their childhoods, and how that, in part, led to them becoming the main focus group for toys.
Build a prototype of a zine. What to do with it now … i want to add something to the world, it feels like the text is taking something away. I'll look over the text over the next couple of days. I decided on folding A4 sheets of paper in half, cutting them to size, and staple them together; writing the text by hand.
