magnetic
A very active day. Started rehab with a movement class; stretching, breathing. Had some time off until the next unit started, so i planned to walk to a hobby shop. On the way, a member of my group invited me to the walking class. So i postponed my plan for an hour of—trying to—mindful walking. It's not a walking meditation, rather an exercise in walking without a destination in mind. We realized how fast we were walking, even «without purpose».
At the hobby store, i picked up a few more things than i planned. Would have bought them anyway.
After rehab, i went to a hardware store to buy some machine screws to mount a lamp to the ceiling. In the process, i ruined the lamp … it's one of those where you mount a base to the ceiling, and then use a closure, where you turn the lamp on the mount about 15 degrees, so a plastic flap slides into a hook on the base. I was too awkward, and the cable on the lamp broke off. After a cooling down period, i sat down with the Wife, and we looked at alternatives. We came up with the solution, to put magnets on the base and lamp. There is a box of magnets in our storage room, that we used to build microphone holders.
