Kirby slept in a bit, and spent the day mostly reading through the books we got from the library on thuesday. I got a report when i returned from work. We played with Lego; he refit his castle, to be a submerged ruin that's explored by a group of archeologists.
Since wednesday, the bubble has been talking about Absolute Batman no.15, and how great it is, and how awesome Absolute Joker is, and so on. So i spent the five bucks, and decided to abandon the series. It's the Joker Synder did back when he was writing the New 52 Batman. It's understandable why the comic is seemingly flying off the shelves, for me, it's too much edge and too little material to work with.
At least i learned through Batman, that Absolute Martian Manhunter no.7 is coming out on the 24th.
Started reading Al Ewing's Thor; and after the first five issues, i'm not completely enamored by it, but i will get the second trade and then decide if i'll continue.
I have to come up with a holiday card for the kids … i've been struggling with that for the last couple of weeks. There are sparks, not one started a fire yet.
Jeremy Parish of Video Works started to look at the Neo Geo Pocket1—he's working through the history of game consoles. We had a Neo Geo Pocket Colour, which we sold soon after getting it, the system sat on the shelves here, and we got three games—Tennis, Metal Slug, and a Samurai Showdown. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos in the series.
A co-worker let me try Skate Story on the Switch2; and while it looks incredible, the most i saw of it, was the death animation—you're playing a demon made out of glass, which explodes into shards when you hit an obstacle, which also looks amazing.
Played a level of Marvel Cosmic Invasion with Kirby, and for some reason, it feels to me, that Shredder's Revenge plays a lot snappier than Invasion. Perhaps it's the controller, and not the rotting flesh that i command.
