we can try

the Fortress of Solitude built by Kirby out of BioBlo bricks
I'm repeating myself: work was frustrating. We started a new repairing project that needed a few steps to decide on; and while i thought our team was on the same page, one of us suddenly messed around with the distribution box we planned on using, and then was upset due to the rest of us calling it a day. It sent us back to the starting point, and due to a shortage in replacement parts and a deadline that lies before the shipping date, we'll have to improvise again, with fewer resources. We'll come through, there is still enough stuff lying around that we can utilise, it's just going to be more cumbersome than before. Another co-worker seemed to feel almost like me, asking, if i too experience problems in our communication. It probably is related to the department only having three people out of ten, who know each other for 20 years, and therefore talk and act in shorthand, which has to be learned by the other seven persons.

Went to the library with Kirby before heading to occupational therapy. He was saddened by the lack of Dogman books, but looked through the things i lent—a Prince Valiant collection, a Moomins collection, a volume of Mouse Guard, and Der Zahn by Ayşe Klinge. He later got a few Ninjago books, one of which he read on the way to therapy.
Which went surprisingly good. He was able to clearly name what bothers him about his ADHD, and what could help him, what he could do on his own, and what he needs help for. It made me feel proud, even when he forgot everything as soon as we closed our flat's door; guess things have to settle first.
I wrote a letter for Kirby, that i put into the copy of All-Star Superman that i keep in his memory box, telling him, that Superman might be the most boring thing on paper, in practice however, is the hope we all carry within us, for a better tomorrow. We'll never fly or lift planets from their orbit, but … we can help pick up the groceries, that fell out of the bag of another customer. We can try and be better.

Local businesses are complaining about people getting everything online, from companies that don't pay taxes locally. Now, i tried to get a few shirt CAT6 cables from one of those local businesses, willing to pay more, and couldn't get the number i need—ten. If you need more than ten 50cm long CAT6 cables, in another colour than »garish« on a Friday, willing to pay four bucks extra per cable, you have to wait until the following Wednesday…
