rubber feet

Kirby and i spent the day together. He was oddly active, usually, when he's with me, he mainly wants to watch TV. We did that in the afternoon, but in the morning, we spent a long time with school preparation work, built a kind of skatepark out of cardboard—we took an overpass near the Wife's old workplace as a reference, even put some graffiti on it, Kirby's looked great, a childs idea of a wild drawing, totems rather than actual depictions of animals—, we went to get a few things and took the long routes to get a few steps.
Later that day, the RC scating TMNT figure was delivered, and Kirby spent some time, trying to work out how to move it. Our skatepark had just the right height—we estimated the size based on a photo of one of the figures next to a cat—, and the supports we put in were just put in the right distance so he could steer the figure through, the ramp is too steep for the board to drive up … i'm already tinker with the thing in my head; replace the battery, changing the gears. Later in the afternoon, i built a second unit we could fit to the main park, this time, i build a less steep ramp.
The rice glue we used is amazing. Hot glue guns are a drag to use, at least for me, so it was a delight to have an alternative, even though it took the glue longer to cure, when it did, held like concrete. When i built the second unit, i put some support parts in, and it worked out great. Next step: rubber feet to keep it stationary.
By the end of the day, we were beat. Kirby fell asleep while i was reading to him in bed.
