off track
On the way to school, Kirby and i got asked by a fellow parent, if we can take their kid with us; which we happily agreed to. What was strange was the parent telling their kid, it should listen to me no matter what, because fathers are sterner. I'm the softest person there is…
The other kid was a dream, he even scolded Kirby, when he ran ahead of us. When i told his parent, they shook their head, uttering the name of their kid in a slightly annoyed tone. I wanted to give them a reason to tell their kid they're happy/proud/in a positive disposition towards it.
Got some housework done and read comics.
We're taking everyone down with us ended this week with issue six, and it was a lacklustre one. I'll read the whole series back to back, it felt like the train got on the wrong tracks around issue three, but i can be mistaken.
The New Gods ended with issue 12—they will return though—and after the slow and deliberate storytelling the title practiced so far, it felt like a fast tracked ending, still in tune with the overall tone of the series. I'm looking forward to where the story goes.
