land in the hand
Got up, played a bout of Shredder's Revenge with Kirby, and was off to work again.
The smell of my co-workers sweaty feet reminded me of, when my Father took off his shoes after a day of work. His odor lingered in the air for a few moments, just like my Dad's.
Got a reasonable quote for the box of Turtles toys i found yesterday1. Now Kirby only has to like Turtles for the rest of the year.
When i came home, i hid from the friends and their kid Kirby and the Wife invited. After seven days of work and a few off hours, i'd rather hadn't seen any people i frankly don't like. They mentioned, with a hint of schadenfreude in their voice, that Kirby went behind the Wife's back with asking me to give him his mediaplayer, which i did. The Wife didn't give me the chance to ask Kirby about it, and went in by herself, to tell him he can listen to his music once our guests have left. Which happened ten minutes later.
Read the ninth volume of Asadora!2 which delighted and stressed me. Author and artist Naoki Urasawa takes his time and isn't getting any younger—you clearly see his age in his show Manben, which you can watch via the NHK app/website3; when he walks on an upward slanted road—, and the german edition clearly mentions the series continuation at the end. I have no idea if this is meant in a reassuring way, due to the tenth Japanese volume is "overdue". Urasawa's work causes a calming reaction in me, so it is always a small celebration when a new work of his lands in my hands.
What somehow doesn't help me relax like it did, are Craig Mod's newsletters4 from his recently started walk; don't know why, they rile me up rather than bring me down.
