hanging in there
Kirby didn't want to sleep alone, and my frame allows for more room in his bed, so i spent the night there. He slept oddly calm, not moving one inch until the wee hours of the day; only his breathing gave me a clue about the sleeping phase he was in at the time.
I hope i got at least three hours of sleep, digestion flared up and brought a panic attack with it.
Work was … a head scratcher through and through. Why did someone decide to place a distribution box inside a "flooding zone"—a small space where rainwater is collected in case the drains either to busy draining or clogged up—; two meters next to the place, there is a hollowed out "floor stone" which has enough space left.
The other baffling thing we encountered, were the new guideposts. The shell is new, the company that built them probably saved some money by utilising the old, worn out lamp sockets. They even made use of the electric tape a colleague had used when we last repaired them.
The older Nephews, who i'm seeing even less than the younger one, made surprise visit with my Brother-in-law, and after an adjusting period, he asked me if i'd prepare some food for him. He asked for bread with a honey topping. I was positively surprised, that he talked to me, and trusted me enough to prepare food for him. Later Kirby told me, the older Nephew had complained about his parents not buying honey anymore, and the one at his Kindergarten tasting like feet. So Kirby proposed he should ask me, we have bread and honey and i'd probably say yes. Kirby said this while holding an ice cream cone in hand, due to me saying something along the lines of "Fuck that, it's Monday, here's some ice cream."
One the tram, someone told his dog over and over again, to look him in the eyes. The wagon was filled, not even i could see the guy.
When i got out, a kid at the station practiced his Spider-Man webslinging poses and accompanying onomatopoeia.
And to round things out, a guy taking a shit on the sidewalk—at least into one of the grass areas—greeted me. For a moment i thought, that is a massive load you're pressing out there, with better light i realised, those were his testicles.
