Occupational Therapy group project 2 finale! When we got out our Chimera «skeleton» that we had covered with papier mâché last week, and when my fellow group members startet to cover the figure with pieces of carpet, i wasn't sure if we would make it. Looking at the state of things of the other two groups Chimeras, and saw that we weren't too far behind; and even with two from our group having their exit interview—me being on of them. All three groups finished their animals, and all of them turned out beautiful. I'm struggling with everything animals, combine that with attaching human qualities to them and treating them like Totems and i'm out, but the other group members liked the project, and therefore tried to help as well as i could. And if you had told me, that total strangers would come together to fashion Chimeras out of DIY materials, i wouldn't have believed it. Also, last week, two new persons joined two groups, and this week, five new people were distributed amongst the three groups, and we managed to get the thing done. One member of my group wanted the wings of our animal painted pink, but we found no fitting colour amongst the ones stored in the Occupational Therapy workshop. Then i realized, when i put my bag into my locker, i realized, i had not taken out the fluorescent acrylics i bought for a former group member yesterday. I picked up a second bottle of magenta i wanted to use to further decorate the cover of the new photo album. We tried some ink from that bottle, and it dried into a very neon like magenta, almost pink, and we used it to paint the wings. We glued a few feathers onto the cardboard wings, and with the magenta/pink base it looked amazing.
Called my brother for his birthday. Got him with his hands inside an engine. He sounded downtrodden … i could overcome my social anxiety, or rather, try to cope with his bullshit—rants about the government and how we all are being played while not being able to do anything about it. Which i can dig, but don't to hear from other people at the moment.
Queen of the Ring (2024) was a solid biopic about Mildred Burke—a female wrestler from the 1930—that lacks the … emotional core of The Iron Claw (2023); which i now realize is bad comparison, Claw wasn't about fame but what it does to people.
And with that title it's mandatory: «Fame» - David Bowie // YouTube
