Clown: Car

Had the pleasure of spending most of my workday alone, which was a welcome contrast to my Boss asking about which tablet to buy for use with a DMX Controller. We have an IT department at our disposal, that could order the stuff for us, instead he's looking at stuff from Temu… One of the reasons we still don't have a rescue kit to rope someone down from a great height.

Kirby was great at reading. I'm in awe that a human being can learn to interpret, as well as write letters within a year.
Since Kirby will learn to write with a pen in school, i got a lefthand nib from Lamy, which i will put on a Lamy Vista for him to practice. While i was already buying a LH nib, i bought an EF nib as well; and later learned: the thickness of the nib is meant as a suggestion of the line width it produces. It puts down a broader line than the Lamy pen with an M nib, i received as a present last year. Have to look for the cap of the Platinum Century 3776 … i have no idea where i put it, that pen just worked flawlessly—for me.

Like last week, the first thing i did was reading a comic, Transformers no.24 in this case; the end of Daniel Warren-Johnsons run on the title. Frankly, i wish Kirkman had taken over earlier. The last … ten issues felt like they could have been told in four, decompressed storytelling at its worst. Still, the actual impact of the war between the robot factions, and its depiction by José Corona, was the thing that kept me coming back. Perhaps it all reads better when collected, in single issue form, it feels oddly paced while going in circles; while looking beautiful.

Alien: Earth is a show i'm currently enjoying more than i thought i would. Noah Hawley and Crew took the title serious, and show us that there are things in that world, that can crap on anyones day as well as the beloved Xenomorph. Seems like the whole question of being human was put on the backburner for the time being, and there are of course other things that bother me, still, i enjoyed it so far.

While on the topic of extraterrestrial lifeforms, i can't understand why a big chunk of the people i follow silently went crazy over a video of a rocket bouncing of an unknown object, when there are currently more pressing matters than "aliens who want to be left alone which no one gave a shit about". Oh yeah, they're probably driving the clown car that is our planet, and now the truth is out and … things are still shit.
